Welcome to the alumni website of the Peace Studies Innsbruck!

With this site we want to create a network of peace students and masters of peaces.

We want to...

  • connect ideas and people, texts, pictures and experiences
  • stay in touch with our friends and know about each other's lives
  • give information about job opportunities, events and projects related to the peace studies to each other
  • keep on discussing concepts and theories of peaces
  • exchange our research projects and encourage each other when writing the master theses
  • practice methods of elicitive conflict transformation and experience the many peaces
  • open the floor to new ideas

This is a space for uploading pictures and documents, for getting in touch with each other via online discussions, and serves to just figure out where the others live and what they are currently doing.

This network will grow when we start using it! Bring in your ideas and contribute to it!

We are alumni of the master programme for transrational peaces and elicitive conflict transformation. And peace students who have experienced at least one term of the Innsbruck Master Programme of Peace Studies together. Some of us have studied and graduated at the Partner Universities in Castellón, Spain, or Costa Rica.

The Peace Studies Innsbruck are a master programme with the focus on transrational peaces and elicitive conflict transformation. To "elicit" means to evoke something, to generate something. The concept of elicitive conflict transformation says you have to experience peace within yourself before you can act peacefully with others and change situations and structures that surround you. You can change any situation by working with it, by changing your attitudes, thoughts and behaviour.

Everything you do has an impact on your environment and the people you live and work with. Relations and networks are crucial to this systemic concept of peace as actions and thoughts of individuals influence the group and other people within the system.

Peace is possible when we live it in the moment and work with it. Let’s create a peaceful alumni network!

You must be the change you want to see in the world.
